SimpleIndex 11.3 new version adds major new features like a revamped HTML and Office to PDF conversion option that is much faster, more robust, and handles complex document formatting. Another new feature is a new Table field type that is able to capture table and spreadsheet data from documents.

New Features

  • Conversion of HTML to PDF
    Conversion of HTML files and emails now uses WebView2 for PDF conversion, preserving the formatting for more complex documents with CSS and tables.
  • Automatic conversion of Office documents
    Automatic conversion of Office documents to PDF uses new libraries with improved accuracy and no need to have Office installed.
  • New Textract Forms+ Tables
    New Textract Forms+ Tables OCR engine option adds the ability to extract table data as well as structured forms from documents and map these to Table fields in SimpleIndex. This is a great option if you are working with Technical documents, Engineering Drawings, Land Surveys, Parts Lists, or scanning blue prints.
  • Embed QR code with metadata in imprint
    By adding a QR code generated using the index log data and embedded with the imprinting feature, we can create jobs that generate and embed the barcode automatically, then email the document in one simple workflow.
  • Save job to SimpleCoversheet template with matching barcode fields.
  • Line item data extracted with AWSInvoice engine automatically mapped to Table field.
  • Extract multiple regions to multiple files or multipage file with OMR fields.
  • Secondary Output folder option for dual-export.
  • Secondary Log folder option for dual-export.
  • Flip images horizontally or vertically in SimpleView.
  • Hide field from user interface option.
  • Limit number of emails imported with Max Files/Batch option.
  • Improved recognition of QR codes with Enhanced Barcode option.
  • Option to burn only newly added annotations without rendering unmodified PDF files.

Bug Fixes

  • Improved FineReader ICR autocorrect and data type specification.
  • ICR values not mapped to correct fields when multi-line value is read.
  • Zoom Lock function fixed.
  • Fixed characters from template not being stripped according to setting.
  • File compression issue with Fast Import selected.
  • Strip spaces from fixed fields.
  • Text files being output when output OCR text files not selected.
  • Fix appending to BIF log file format.
  • Open all processing logs from menu command.
  • Auto-Rotate freezing with certain image file formats.
