With the change to the SimpleIndex licensing site, computers with SimpleIndex versions 9.2.50 and earlier need to run an update to the Windows Host file allowing the software to be activated online. This runs on each computer needing activation or deactivation and redirects to the new licensing site.
When trying to activate with a version that is v9.2.50 and earlier an error will occur that says “Could not connect to license server!” and/or “Return Code_623”.
Run the file as Administrator by right clicking on it and selecting Run As Administrator
Activate or Deactivate the software
Alternatively upgrading to the new version of the software will resolve these issues as well. Upgrades require maintenance to be current, so contact our sales team (877-355-4141 or [email protected]) for further information on your license(s).
