Windows Search

The built-in Windows search function is able to index the contents of Searchable PDF files output by SimpleIndex OCR. Files that have been indexed with SimpleIndex can be searched both on the folders & filenames used by your File Naming Schema, as well as the Full-Page OCR text.

Indexed file shares on Windows Server can use the server-based version of Windows Search to perform similar searches on shared file storage drives.

It is also possible to search across multiple file shares by adding them to a Document Library. If all of the shares are indexed on their respective servers, searching the library will give instant Full-Text Search results across all of the documents on your network.
