In SimpleIndex, XML is used in a number of ways. They are cataloged here.
- Job Files use XML to store all of the settings for your processing workflow.
- Index Logs can use XML to save index values associated with each document.
- SimpleExport can convert Index Logs in CSV or XML into any XML schema or text file format using XSLT.
- FineReader OCR can output full-page text to XML or provide Alto XML metadata for documents.
- Use Fixed fields to populate document index data from corresponding XML or JSON metadata files
- Create PDF files from XML data to create human-readable documents for archival
