Processing

The Processing stage is started automatically after scanning or import has completed.

Automated processing performs the following tasks in the following order:

1. Each file is processed according to the batch Sort Order.
2. Each index field is processed in order, as defined on the Indexing & File Naming screen.
3. Image Clean-Up
4. Bar Code Recognition
5. Full-Page OCR
6. Zone OCR
7. Template matching
8. Dictionary matching
9. Autofill lookups
10. Fixed field calculation

The time it takes to perform automated processes depends on:

• Number of Image Clean-Up options
• Number of Zone OCR fields
• Size of dictionary matching lists
• Speed of Autofill lookups
• Certain Fixed field values take time to read from documents
• TIFF and PDF files over 500 pages can significantly impact performance
• Batch size, especially batches over 1,000 pages

In this case, the user may do work in another application while processing and return to the batch once processing is finished.
