Workstation Activation in the Concurrent Serial Number Field

Many corporate networks block traffic to all websites by default unless they have been specifically granted access. This is especially true in server environments.
If you are having licensing issues with SimpleIndex not having access/permission through the internet to activate the software online then this access needs to be granted by your corporate IT network managers.
This is the specific website URL that the activation server must access:

You can just grant access to the full SimpleIndex.com domain as well.
For concurrent licenses it is necessary for the machine to be able to activate online. For workstation licenses you can work around this by doing a one-time Offline Activation instead. To do this click the Offline Activation button on the Activation screen and follow the instructions in the dialog box.
How can I change from letter to legal size documents?
This is done through the TWAIN or ISIS settings for your scanner. To access these settings select “Display Scanner Settings” from the “Scan” file menu. Next click the “Run Job” button and before the scanning process starts your scanners TWAIN or ISIS settings dialog box will appear.
Every TWAIN or ISIS dialog is different, but any of them have a clear option for changing page size or auto detecting page size.

How do I transfer an existing SimpleIndex license to another computer?
You can move the license for any Simple Software product from one computer to another using the Transfer License feature. If this is something you do frequently, there are Concurrent License options available that avoid the need to transfer the license each time you run the software on a new machine. To transfer your license you must first deactivate the license on the currently activated computer: 1 Click on Activate/Transfer License from the Help menu 2 Select a Serial from the drop-down list 3 Click the Transfer button 4 Repeat for each Serial in the list This will check in the license for each of these serial numbers, allowing them to be activated on another computer. Download the demo to install on the new computer. Enter the serial number on the demo screen and click “Activate” to activate the new computer. How do I purchase, register and activate Simple Software products?
Simple Software products are activated online by entering a serial number in the downloadable demo and verifying the license with our server. First you must order SimpleIndex from our online store or one of our Authorized Dealers. Click Here to order now. How are Simple Software products licensed?
All Simple Software products are licensed on a per-workstation basis. The demo version is “activated” online using a serial number generated for your organization. All licenses purchased for each application can be activated with the same serial. The license can be transferred to another PC. Check out the FAQ for Activating and Transferring licenses for further details. A server license is required when SimpleIndex is installed on Windows Server 2003 or 2008, or when running as a scheduled task or Windows service. The server license can be added to SimpleIndex Barcode, OCR or Full versions to enable 1 million pages per year of unattended server processing. Additional server add-ons can be activated to add increments of 1M pages per year. How do I configure SimpleIndex to scan documents?
First make sure that you scanner’s TWAIN driver (found on the included CD or manufacturer website) is installed and that the scanner shows up in the ‘Scanners and Cameras’ section of the ‘Control Panel’. On the Batch tab of Job Options change the Input Files From setting from Folder to Scanner. With this option set, the scanner automatically starts when you click the Run Job button to process a new batch. From the Scan menu you have the option to select your scanner, set compression settings, display or hide the scanner’s TWAIN settings interface or have SimpleIndex prompt the user when the feeder is empty. The Scan to Input Folder command in the Scan menu lets you separate the scanning from processing. Use this to scan a sample image to draw OCR zones. Images are scanned to numbered TIFF images in the designated Input Folder.
