If you are getting really weird activations errors where it says the license has already been activated the client has probably put the Workstation serial code in the Concurrent spot that is in the Wizard.
To fix this go to the registry (regedit) here:
Then delete the key called Serial
Many corporate networks block traffic to all websites by default unless they have been specifically granted access. This is especially true in server environments.
If you are having licensing issues with SimpleIndex not having access/permission through the internet to activate the software online then this access needs to be granted by your corporate IT network managers.
This is the specific website URL that the activation server must access:
You can just grant access to the full SimpleIndex.com domain as well.
For concurrent licenses it is necessary for the machine to be able to activate online. For workstation licenses you can work around this by doing a one-time Offline Activation instead. To do this click the Offline Activation button on the Activation screen and follow the instructions in the dialog box.
You can move the license for any Simple Software product from one computer to another using the Transfer License feature.
If this is something you do frequently, there are Concurrent License options available that avoid the need to transfer the license each time you run the software on a new machine.
To transfer your license you must first deactivate the license on the currently activated computer:
1 Click on Activate/Transfer License from the Help menu
2 Select a Serial from the drop-down list
3 Click the Transfer button
4 Repeat for each Serial in the list
This will check in the license for each of these serial numbers, allowing them to be activated on another computer.
Download the demo to install on the new computer. Enter the serial number on the demo screen and click “Activate” to activate the new computer.

To extend your demo for another 30 days, select “Extend Demo” from the “Version” drop-down list on the registration screen that is displayed when you launch the application. Follow the instructions on that screen to submit the Authorization Request Code for your demo extension. You can also refer to “How do I register/activate Simple Software Products?” in the Simple Software FAQ.
All Simple Software products are licensed on a per-workstation basis. The demo version is “activated” online using a serial number generated for your organization. All licenses purchased for each application can be activated with the same serial.
The license can be transferred to another PC. Check out the FAQ for Activating and Transferring licenses for further details.
A server license is required when SimpleIndex is installed on Windows Server 2003 or 2008, or when running as a scheduled task or Windows service. The server license can be added to SimpleIndex Barcode, OCR or Full versions to enable 1 million pages per year of unattended server processing. Additional server add-ons can be activated to add increments of 1M pages per year.
